Anemia of vitamin B12 deficiency can be developed in gastrointestinal fistula due to the ileal bypass or bacterial overgrowth in blind loop. In Korea, vitamin B12 deficiency anemias were reported rarely, and most of the reported cases were associated with deficiency of intrinsic factor which were related with chronic atrophic gastritis or resection of stomach.
We present a case of myelodysplastic syndrome(refractory anemia) associated with vitamin deficiency anemia following gastrojejunocolic fistula.
