Abstract

Dyskeratosis conlgenita is a rare congenital disorder characterized by the triad of
reticular pigmentation of the skin, dystrophic nails, leukoplakia of the mucous membrane
and often associated with aplastic anemia.
We have experienced a 15-year-old boy who had reticular pigmentation of the skin,
dystrophic changes of the fingers and toe nails. The tongue was smooth and lingual
papillae disappeared with formation of adherent white leukoplakic patches.
Laboratory data revealed pancytopenia, significantly decreased bone marrow cellular
elements with increased fat cells.
