    Microscopic examination of peripheral blood (PB) and bone marrow (BM) (A) PB shows rouleaux formation of red cells and an atypical promyelocyte. (B) BM aspiration smears shows an increased number of atypical promyelocytes with bilobed nuclei, densely packed large granules in cytoplasm and a few faggot cells (Wright-Giemsa stain ×1,000).
