Clinical Analysis of 8 Cases on Double Primary Malignancy Associated with Hematopoietic Malignancy
During the 20 years from 1971 to 1990, 1994 new primary cancers were registered at
the Presbyterian Medical Center. Among them 116 cases had multiple primary malignant
neoplasm and 8 cases were with hematopoietic malignancy associated with double
primary malignant neoplasms proved .by surgery or tissue biopsy. We analyses these 8
cases as below ;
1) The incidence of hematopoietic malignancy associated with double primary malignancy
is 0.041% .
2) Male . female ratio was 1 : 1.
3) The incidence of hematopoietic malignancy associated with double primary malignancy
increased annually.
4) ABO group incidence was B group(5 cases), 4 group(2 cases), AB group(1 case) and
0 group was absent.
5) The ratio between synchronous and metachronous was 1 : 7
The time interval between first and second malignancy was 4.4 years in metachronous cases.
All of 7 metachronous cases were treated with radiation, or chemotherapy, or combined therapy.
6)Family history of all cases was not significant.

Abstract
